Essential to heavy-duty tow operations, this 1/4" brass air fitting allows tow operators to tie into the existing air system of a Class 8 Volvo or Mack commercial truck to supply air to the brake system when the power unit is disabled and can no longer perform this function. Using air supplied by the rear of the tow truck, this application allows the tow operator to release the casualty's brakes and prepare it for towing. Simply install directly to the metric threads on the air tank of a Volvo or Mack tractor.

This air coupler assembly works well with most Kenworth and Peterbilt truck makes and models. It connects to the fitting located on the outside frame rail, near the driver side wheel well. It can sometimes be accessed without even opening the hood. Some trucks powered by a Cummins engine may have the fitting located directly behind the on-board truck compressor.
