This Fork is used on a Gillig Bus. The bottom portion of the fork connects to the wheel lift and the top portion of the fork fits into the provided holes that are on the underside the Gillig bus.

Bro Wreckers receivers have 2 fork holes for easy hook-up. The outer hole is offset and gives you extra width during axle or frame lift. Shifting one receiver from passenger side to the driver s side will decrease the distance between receivers. The receiver is a low-mount design which enables the fork to sneak under low bumpers and, when inverted, gives you extra height.

Lifting trucks from the rear can sometimes be difficult. Newer trucks are equipped with air ride or air bags which limit the lifting sites. The axle housing is one of the more popular places, however forks must be wide and tall enough. Some trucks such as Peterbilt have unequal width housings. Bro Wreckers designed the 5.5" forks to fit them all so that you can use them on most trucks without using high stands to get clearances.

Chain forks can be used in many ways. The chain fork lifts a completely wrecked truck - no axles or tires - and the under reach functions as a tow bar. The chain forks are milled from one high tensile steel bar and accept 1/2" to 5/8" chain. This helps get a truck lifted from the rear where no easily accessible lift point is available.

The new tube axle on the Ford Super Duty, model year 02-up, requires a special fork that prevents the axle tube from being dented. Bro Wreckers new, Half Round Fork fits snug around the axle and is designed to prevent this from happening. Using regular frame forks will damage or dent the axle.

High Stands raise the fork to a higher position. The need may arise when the suitable fork is not tall enough to reach the desired lift point, that the stinger hits the bumper before the fork is in position, or in similar situations. The high stands are 7" tall. When high stands are used, make sure the towed vehicle is secured by extra safety chains and that the "swaying motion" is limited as much as possible.

This is a spring fork from Bro Wreckers. The self aligning spring fork is one of the most popular forks and it attaches to the spring itself. Four different positions for the fork lock pin ensures a snug fit. The fork hinging feature permits alignment with the spring during lift. The spring hangers are always located up front or close to the bumper. This will decrease the load on the tow truck's axle. The closer you can pull in the towed vehicle the less weight you will have on your rear axles.
